The customers’ beliefs and desires comprise the central core of our philosophy.  AEON Vietnam has been continuously implementing various practical initiatives to enhance the shopping experience for customers. 

Experience the convenience in practicing the green lifestyle 

Since AEON has first opening its General Merchandise Store and Supermarket in 2014, 100% of biodegradable bag has been used for packaging across the entire system. In 2019, AEON supermarkets stop selling single-use plastic products and introduced environmentally friendly alternatives made from paper, rice flour, corn starch, and sugarcane bagasse.  

 With the goal of 80% of customer transactions to refuse single-use plastic bags by 2030, AEON Vietnam implements various programs to promote customer's convenient in practicing the green lifestyle.

The "Rent-a-bag" service recorded 22,000 bags rented, equivalent to a reduction of 7.8 million plastic bags in 2024. Additionally, by replacing physical membership card with application in July 2022, AEON Việt Nam has reduced over 230,000 plastic cards annually. 

The Rent-a-Bag service is available at checkout counters to ensure customers’ convenience. With 5,000 VND/ bag and will be refunded 100% upon customers bag return. 

Experience the speed in shopping 

AEON Việt Nam has introduced semi-self-cashier in its supermarkets and self-service kiosks at the food court. These innovations significantly reduce customer wait times, enhance convenience for customers, and promote cashless transactions. Customers can also shop at home via the e-commerce platform - AEON EShop. 

Experience the Product Quality Control Initiative by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade 

AEON Vietnam operates under a Japanese - standard quality control process, with the commitment to offering high-quality products to customers  

In support this commitment, AEON Vietnam participates in the Responsible Green Tick program (Tick Xanh Trách Nhiệm) - an initiative launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with major distribution systems, aiming to control the product quality and develop a safe, sustainable supply chain 

This program is currently implemented at 15 locations: AEON Binh Tan, Tan Phu and 13 AEON Citimart supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City. AEON Vietnam is proactively promoting the program by increasing product in diversity and quantity and deploy a specific roadmap for each product category based on food hygiene and safety levels.
