OPENING VIETNAMESE GOODS WEEK AT AEON JAPAN GENERAL MERCHANDISE STORE SYSTEM (GMS)

Vietnamese Goods Week at AEON Japan General Merchandise store system in combination with culture and tourism promotion in Japan takes place from June 5 to June 9, 2019 at 40 stores of AEON General Merchandise Store system.
This is an event to continue implementing the project "Promoting Vietnamese businesses to directly participate in foreign distribution systems until 2020", implementing commitments in the MOU signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Japan AEON Group. The opening ceremony was held at 15:30 on June 8, 2019 at AEON MALL Lake Town Mori, Saitama Province, Japan. From June 7 to June 9, Vietnamese enterprises will introduce and promote products directly to Japanese consumers, learn about the needs and tastes of consumers in the Japanese market.
Participating in the display and introduction of goods at this Vietnamese Goods Week, there are more than 20 Vietnamese enterprises belonging to the group of textiles, agricultural products, processed food, consumer goods, furniture, handicrafts, technology ... Besides, AEON General Merchandise Stores will also display and sell Vietnamese products imported and being sold at AEON system in Japan.

General Director of AEON TOPVALU Vietnam Company Limited - Shiotani Yuichiro - said that Japan is the 3rd largest economy in the world with an increasing import demand of food and consumer products ... These are products in which Vietnam has many advantages in production development conditions.
With the desire to support Vietnamese enterprises to become suppliers to 1,000 AEON supermarkets globally, AEON Group has built a plan to support Vietnamese enterprises through technical assistance to improve production capacity of Vietnamese suppliers to meet the standards of AEON and the Japanese market. It is hoped that Vietnamese enterprises will be able to develop their brands and increase their market share in the Japanese market in the future.
