AEON VIETNAM signs The Memorandum of Understanding with Vietnam Japan University

On October 17th, 2022, Vietnam Japan University and AEON Vietnam has signed the memorandum of understanding with the representatives of the parties – Prof. Dr Furata Motoo, Rector of Vietnam Japan University and Mr. Tanaka Kosei, Deputy General Director of AEON Vietnam Office Division.
AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd is a leading retailer in Vietnam, under AEON Co., Ltd leading retail group in Japan. AEON Vietnam started researching Vietnamese market since 2009 and officially established AEON Vietnam in 2011. Up till now, AEON Vietnam has expand it’s business to 5 provinces, invest to 5 segments in retail industry and has more than 4000 employees nationwide. Since AEON Vietnam’s establishment, we have constantly strived to implement the immutable basic principle of “Customer First”, with a state of continuous improvment, based on AEON’s eternal philosophy of “pursuing peace, respecting humanity and contributing to local community, always with customers’ points of view as its core”
This memorandum of understanding has been established with the aim of promoting the strengths and abilities of both parties, facilitating internship programs for students of Vietnam Japan University at AEON Vietnam. At the same time, the two parties will coordinate, organizing seminars on professional experiences and necessary skills in the retail business for students. In addition, they will also cooperate in events such as organizing job fairs, tree planting activities, AEON Vietnam’s headquater and business chains visits as well as other activities.
Addressing at the ceramony, Prof. Dr. Furata Motoo introduced Vietnam Japan University (VJU) and expressed great expectation for the potential cooperation between AEON Vietnam and Vietnam Japan University. Prof. Dr. Furata Motoo also hoped that this would be a great opportunity students of Vietnam Japan University to have practical access with the business environment, learn valuable knowledge and develop skills in the best way.
According to the speech, Mr. Tanaka Kosei stated that not only having the desire to enhance the ability of “AEON people” (the name of the people working at AEON), AEON Vietnam also would like to contribute to the nuturing and developing of young generation, in order to create positive changes for the society and support in building and improving Vietnam's human resources. Therefore, Mr. Tanaka Kosei was very looking forward for this cooperation with Vietnam Japan University, which played an active role in connecting with the young resources and from which, created opportunities for AEON Vietnam to join hands in support the growth of Vietnam’s future generations.
After the Memorandum of Understanding signing Ceremony is a lively breakout seminar themed “AEON Hello” from Mr. Nishikawa Satoshi, Northern Area General Manager. This session aims the process of foundation and development of AEON Group in general, and AEON Vietnam in particular, as well as what AEON Vietnam has achieved after 10 years participating in the Vietnamese market.
