AEON EMPLOYEES DONATE OVER 390 MILLION VNDS TO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE IN JAPAN AFTER THE NATURAL DISASTER

On February 19, 2024, AEON Vietnam, along with 7 companies affiliated under AEON Group, and Trade Union represented all employees to donate more than 390 million VNDs (about 2.38 million yen) to the local government of Central Japan. This donation is intended to aid recovery efforts following a devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the region on January 1, 2024, causing severe damage.
Central Japan was struck by a devastating earthquake and tsunami on January 1, 2024. The disaster caused widespread damage to people and property.
In response, AEON Vietnam, along with 7 companies affiliated under AEON Group, and Trade Union
Leadership called on their employees to donate financially, to help the people in the affected areas. The goal is to provide them with the motivation and support they need to overcome this difficult time and rebuild their lives.
AEON Vietnam commits that for every amount donated by its employees through the Trade Union via this occaasion, the company will make a matching donation, doubling the support for the people impacted by the disaster in Central Japan.
From January 11 to January 25, 2024, the donation received tremendous support and raised 391,753,804 VNDs (approximately 2,387,000 yen). All of these will be donated to the local government of Central Japan, to support the recovery efforts.
