15.12.2025

On December 15, 2025, at AEON Tan Phu, AEON Vietnam implemented program “Accompany & level up enterprises program” in Ho Chi Minh City. The event is part of AEON’s multi-dimensional approach to promote the consumption of Vietnamese products and contribute to sustainable economic development. It follows the Vietnamese product exhibition week, and trade connection activities held at AEON Binh Tan in early December, aiming to share technical standards and seek partners for the development of AEON’s private brand products.

AEON representatives addressed concerns and difficulties faced by local businesses at the event “AEON Vietnam accompany & level up enterprises program.”

The program “AEON accompany & level up enterprises program” was first initiated by AEON Vietnam in 2023 in Hue and received positive feedback from suppliers. Building on this success, the program continues to be implemented in Ho Chi Minh City, before expanding to Hanoi with an event scheduled to take place on January 8, 2026, gradually spreading the model of accompaniment and sustainable development with local businesses in areas where AEON Vietnam operates.

Aiming to accompany the Government of Vietnam in implementing the Strategy on “Domestic trade development to 2030, with a vision to 2045” and the action plan of the Industry and Trade, AEON Vietnam continues to work closely with management authorities and local businesses, supporting enterprises step by step in joining the modern supply chain.

Based on the practical barriers and needs of local businesses, AEON Vietnam prioritizes supporting enterprises in accessing modern retail standards, understanding and complying with current regulations. At the same time, AEON helps address common difficulties when entering modern distribution systems, thereby shortening the time needed to introduce products, reducing risks, and improving competitiveness. Through these efforts, AEON Vietnam expects to contribute to promoting the consumption of Vietnamese products, creating a foundation for sustainable market connections, and supporting the development of domestic trade in a modern and sustainable direction.

The program is designed with two key components to support suppliers in gradually standardizing their processes and strengthening their capacity to participate in the modern retail system. In the first phase, the program focuses on introducing the standards and requirements to become a supplier of AEON Vietnam, while also sharing common challenges that businesses often face when entering modern retail channels. A highlight of the program is that, in addition to providing AEON’s standards, businesses are also informed about practical issues in quality management, helping them learn from experience and improve their product control processes. Following this, the program implements three in-depth training courses on traceability, product testing management, and self-declaration and labeling documentation, with content updated in accordance with the latest current regulations.

The program “AEON Viet Nam accompany & level up enterprise program” in Ho Chi Minh City was attended by Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade; Ms. Chau Thi Le - Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Provincial Department of Industry and Trade; Ms. Phan Thi Hai Yen - Representative of the Trade Management Division, Dong Nai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade; Ms. Luu Thuy Trang - Representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC).

The program is designed for enterprises that have not had many opportunities to access AEON’s standards but have a clear orientation to become suppliers of AEON Vietnam in the present and the future. Accordingly, the program prioritizes enterprises with medium to large-scale operations, owning workshops or manufacturing plants, and having met food safety requirements in accordance with legal regulations (such as HACCP) or equivalent standards. In addition to stable production capacity, enterprises with experience supplying modern trade channels or large retail systems, or those with a sustainable development orientation featuring environmentally friendly products, green packaging, reduced plastic use, and a strong focus on ESG will be given priority consideration. Based on these criteria, the program in Ho Chi Minh City attracted more than 250 enterprises to register for participation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hue, Senior General Manager People & Brand Strategy Corporate & Supplier Quality Management at AEON Vietnam, shared: “The training program is designed to support businesses in understanding Vietnamese regulations currently applied by supermarket chains, enhancing their capacity to proactively manage product quality, and gaining access to export standards for the Japanese market. The program’s objectives are not only to help businesses achieve sustainable development and strengthen their competitiveness, but also to support the expansion of the domestic market, explore international export opportunities, and move toward long-term growth in business operations.”

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hue, Senior General Manager People & Brand Strategy Corporate & Supplier Quality Management at AEON Vietnam, shared at the event.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, shared at the event that he highly valued AEON Vietnam’s efforts in supporting and accompanying local businesses through business matching activities, training programs, and the sharing of modern retail standards. He emphasized that supply - demand linkage cannot deliver meaningful results through only a few one-off events but must instead be carried out on a sustained and systematic basis, with close coordination among state authorities, distribution networks, and the business community.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, shared insights on the event “AEON accompany & level up enterprises program.”

As part of a series of activities accompanying local suppliers and jointly promoting the consumption of Vietnamese products, previously AEON Vietnam coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) to organize a Product Exhibition Week at AEON Binh Tan from December 4 to December 7, along with a business matching program to introduce products into the AEON General Merchandise Store & Supermarket chain on December 5, 2025. On the same day, December 4, 2025, AEON Vietnam participated in the “Vietnam - Japan Business Network Forum: Exploring the potential of Mekong Delta products” at Can Tho University.

Following the program in Ho Chi Minh City, AEON Vietnam will continue to implement the program “Accompany & level up enterprise program” at AEON Ha Dong (Hanoi) on January 8, 2026, which is expected to attract approximately 160 enterprises from the Northern region.
